Captain Gregory E. Ladeveze graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in May of 2000 and served five years in the United States Army as a Field Artillery Officer. His assignments included positions as cavalry troop fire support officer, platoon leader, executive officer, and various staff positions that oversaw personnel, budgeting, and logistics. In February of 2003, Greg deployed to Iraq and served a year-long combat tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with LTC (R) Allen B. West. Greg deployed to Iraq as a platoon leader (Alpha Battery, 2nd Battalion, 20th Field Artillery) and was promoted four months later by LTC West to serve as his Battalion Adjutant. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and Army Commendation Medal with Valor device for his meritorious service and actions in Iraq. Greg redeployed with the battalion in March of 2004 and spent his final year on active duty as the 2-20th Field Artillery Battalion Supply and Logistics Officer.
Greg has been awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Valor device and one oak leaf cluster, Army Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Air Assault Badge, and Combat Action Badge. Greg left active duty service in May of 2005 to attend the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his MBA in Finance. He now works for Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Energy and Power Investment Banking Group in Houston, Texas. Greg currently resides with his wife in Houston, TX. He devotes his spare time to the non-profit organization Impact A Hero and, over the last two years, has raised over $31,000 to support seriously wounded Veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan.
